Abstract
We characterize functions satisfying a dissipative inequality associated wi th a control problem. Such a characterization is provided in terms of an ep icontingent solution, or a viscosity supersolution to a partial differentia l equation called Isaacs' equation. Links between supersolutions and epicon tingent solutions to Isaacs' equation are studied. Finally, we derive (poss ibly discontinuous) disturbance attenuation feedback of the HCO problem fro m contingent formulation of Isaacs' equation.
