We consider the conditions for the r process to proceed when a shock wave p
asses through the helium shell of a collapsing Type II supernova of mass 10
-15M(.). We analyze the effect of reactions with protons and alpha particle
s on the r process when the helium shell is irradiated by a neutrino flux a
nd when the parametrically specified post-shock temperature increases. The
sources of neutrons and protons are the reactions of inelastic scattering o
f muon and tau neutrinos and antineutrinos by helium nuclei which have been
previously discussed in detail.
