Abstract
A method is described for the determination of ferrocene and its deriv atives by the fluorescence quenching of m-2-benzoyl-indan-1,3-dionecet yltrimethyl-ammonium bromide(CTMAB) system. Under the optimum conditio ns, the decrease of the fluorescence intensity was a linear function o f the concentration of ferrocene or its derivatives in the range 1.0x1 0(-6)-1.0x10(-5) mol/L. The detection limit was 1.0x10(-7) mol/L. The system was used for the determination of ferrocene n-heptyl beta-diket one, with satisfactory results.
