Identification of iberoamerican scientific and technical community in glass and ceramic fields

The Spanish Glass and Ceramic Society in collaboration with the Spanish Nat ional Center for Scientific Information are involved in a collaborative res earch project focused to the identification of iberoamericans research grou ps actives in ceramic and glass fields. The aims of the project combines bo th, specific research field with national and institutional adscription. Th e work will be developped trough the analysis of the papers from iberoameri can authors, collected in international data bases like to Scientific Citat ion Index and Chemical Abstracts, along 1995-1999 period. The long experien ce adquired by SECV as editor, from 1960, of the Bulletin of the Spanish Gl ass an Ceramic Society (included in SCI from 1999), and their participation in CYTED networks (Glass and Electroceramics), made feasible to achieve th e proposal. In this paper, methodology and preliminary data, based in natio nal global results are discussed.
