A two-body wave equation is derived, corresponding to the hypothesis (
discussed already in the past) that u and d current quarks are relativ
istic bound states of a spin-1/2 preen existing in two weak flavors an
d three colors, and a spin-0 preen with no weak flavor nor color, held
together by a new strong but Abelian, vectorlike gauge force. Some no
nconventional (though somewhat nostalgic) consequences of this strong
Abelian binding within composite quarks are pointed out. Among: them a
re: new tiny magnetic-type moments of quarks (and nucleons) and new is
omeric nucleon states possibly excitable at some high energies. The la
tter may arise through a rearrangement mechanism for quark preens insi
de nucleons. in the interaction q (q) over bar --> q (q) over bar of p
reen-composite quarks, beside the color forces, there act additional e
xchange forces corresponding to diagrams analogical to the so called d
ual diagrams for the interaction pi pi --> pi pi Of quark-composite pi
ons.
