Ls. Wang et J. Gmehling, Improvement of the SRK equation of state for representing volumetric properties of petroleum fluids using Dortmund Data Bank, CHEM ENG SC, 54(17), 1999, pp. 3885-3892
To improve the ability of SRK EOS for representing volumetric properties, t
he Peneloux-Rauzy volume translation for the liquid density at reduced temp
erature 0.7 has been combined with a temperature-dependent function. Based
on an enormous number of data stored in the Dortmund Data Bank, the SRK par
ameters of components in petroleum fluids have been fitted to a large numbe
r of experimental data including 4170 saturated liquid density data and 809
7 PVT data at supercritical conditions. Using the new parameters, the predi
ctive SRK model (group contribution mixing rule for the mixture parameters
a and b of SRK EOS) is employed in this work to calculate the liquid densit
y of binary mixtures. Satisfactory results have been obtained for both the
vapor-liquid equilibrium and the densities of the coexisting phases. (C) 19
