Abstract
Pulmonary complications of mechanical venilation are a common challenge for the intensivist. This article focuses on hemodynamic, pulmonary, and airwa y consequences of mechanical ventilation, focusing on volutrauma, lung inju ry related to mechanical ventilation, and consequences of intubation.
