Abstract
Onthophagus barretti, new species, from Darien Province (Panama) and O. bre viconus, new species, from Guatemala and Honduras are described and illustr ated. Onthophagus orphnoides Bates is now considered a valid species and re moved from synonymy with O. mirabilis Bates. The limits of the mirabilis sp ecies group are redefined to exclude O. quetzalis Howden and Gill. A key is given to the species in the mirabilis group.
