Abstract
The paper presents some novel applications of an are plasma related to the synthesis of carbon nanostructures. The influence of iron on the final comp osition of solid products (e.g. fullerene content) is discussed. Pure and F e-doped carbon plasmas were characterized by the optical emission spectrosc opy.
