Aspects of exposure limit value setting for lacquer aerosols

Lacquer spraying may not only cause exposure to solvent vapours but also to lacquer aerosols. So far, there has been no threshold limit value and thus no assessment basis for this type of exposure. In connection with the dete rmination of a legally binding limit value for the inhalable dust fraction (general dust limit value) it is necessary to take account of the state of the art at the concerned workplaces. Special framework conditions must be c onsidered for lacquer aerosols.
