We revisit the path integral description of motion of a relativistic electr
on. Applying a minor, but well-motivated conceptional change to Feynman's c
hessboard model, we obtain exact solutions of the Dirac equation. The calcu
lation is performed by means of a particularly simple method different from
both the cumbinatorial approach envisaged by Feynman and its Ising model c
orrespondence.
