Abstract
The positions of reflections on the diffraction pattern from a polycrystall ine fiber are described by a cylindrical projection of the reciprocal latti ce. The characteristics of the projection depend on the crystal system and the orientation of the fiber axis relative to the unit-cell axes. The progr am CPRL plots the positions of the reflections on a diffraction pattern fro m an oriented polycrystalline fiber (the cylindrically projected reciprocal lattice), for a triclinic unit cell with any orientation of the fiber axis . The results provided by the program facilitate interpretation of fiber di ffraction patterns for complex systems.
