Abstract
We have measured the X-ray photoemission and X-ray bremsstrahlung isochroma t spectra of UPd2Al3, and compared with the results of the band structure c alculation. The near E-F part of the spectra are well reproduced by the cal culated U 5f density of states, although the experimental spectra are broad er than the calculations. These results suggest that the band structure cal culation is a good starting point for the understanding of these spectra, a lthough the spectra are not entirely understood by the calculations.
