The particle concentration dependence of the dynamic viscosity of various m
ono- and double-layer sterically stabilized magnetic fluids was investigate
d in the absence of an external magnetic field. Fits of the relative viscos
ity data to various approximating relationships show that the flow properti
es are influenced by chemical composition details, but do not depend signif
