The axisymmetric thin film of magnetic fluid formed on a horizontally spinn
ing disk in magnetic field is considered. We study a problem of evolution o
f the film thickness when the special magnetic field is applied. It is show
n that application of the magnetic field leads to the formation of the film
thickness jump (discontinuity). The equation for the discontinuity positio
