COST-EFFECTIVE, ENVIRONMENTALLY SAFE TISSUE PROCESSING METHOD WITH PARAFFIN OIL

We present a cost-effective, environmentally safer tissue processing t echnique that results in superior morphological detail and preserves a ntigenicity. Our procedure uses par affin oil in place of common clear ing reagents such as xylene or limonene. Paraffin oil is compatible wi th existing laboratory equipment and can be used in closed tissue proc essing instruments. The oil is economical because it is easily and qui ckly restored for repeat use.
