Abstract
The reaction of 2-isocyanomethylthiazoles with trans-chalcone or aromatic a zomethines in the presence of copper compounds results in only trans-pyrrol ines or trans-imidazolines with thiazole substituents, as evidencea by H-1 NMR and mass spectrometry.
