Abstract
The CLIO-2 or ETOILES project is the envisioned extension of the CLIO facil ity, aimed at covering the far-infrared range between 50 mu m and 1 or 2 mm . It should consist of a new independent linac-based FEL, operating in S- o r L-band at energies between 4 and 16 MeV. Synchronized with the actual CLI O FEL and Optical Parametric Oscillators, it would allow covering the whole infrared spectral range and performing multi-color experiments.
