We investigate the hysteresis cycle of K-(BEDT-TTF)(2)Cu(N(CN)(2))Br as a f
unction of the thermo-magnetic history of the sample. We find that the fiel
d cooled state (fc) always differs radically from that of conventional mate
rials. However, the relaxed magnetisation generally coincides with the zfc
one but the transition towards the zfc state is always preceded by strong f
luctuations in the measured magnetisation. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. A
