Abstract
PCR amplification from leaf tissue has become an integral part of many plan t molecular biology applications including screening for transformants, pla nt breeding, and molecular ecology. We have adapted an existing method to p roduce a simple protocol for the amplification of single or multicopy genes directly from leaf discs, particularly useful when screening large numbers of individuals.
