The, classification of the psychological indications of true and untrue rep
orts was made for the first time on the basis of the same criteria: 1) fact
ual true or lie of statements; 2) the belief of speaker in truthfulness or
lying of the statement; 3) the presence or absence of speaker's motive to d
elude the listener. The results of psychological researches of nine essenti
al categories of the continuum "truth-lie" were analyzed.
