Abstract
The reaction between 9-aminocarbazol and 4-chloro-3-nitrocoumarine 1 respec tively 4-chloro -3,6-dinitrocoumarine 2 yielded the corresponding compounds 4 and 5. By their oxidation with PbO2 the persistent free radicals N-(3-ni tro-4-coumarinyl)-9-carbazolylaminyl 6 and N-(3,6-dinitro-4-coumarinyl)-9-c arbazolylaminyl 7 were synthesized. The structure of the new compounds was proved by means of spectral data.
