New optical agents for whitening. I. Synthesis and physical-chemical characterization of some stilbene-s-triazine derivatives of 4,4 '-diaminostilbene-2,2 '-disulphonic acid

The work presents possibilities of syntheses fur, seven new whitening agent s of stilbene type. These compounds were obtained by unsymmetrical condensa tion of cyanuric chloride with 4,4 '-diaminostilbene-2,2'-disulfonic acid a nd other nucleophilic agents: aminobenzenesulfonic acids, aminobenzenesulph onamides or aliphatic alcohols. The substitution reactions take place in a sequence imposed by reactivity criteria. The synthetized compounds have been investigated by elemental analysis, thi n layerchromatography. IR and UV-VIS spectra. Applications tests on cotton, viscose and polyamide texture have shown a fluorescent whitening agent beh aviour.
