This paper presents three atypical alpha-imino acids produced by Secake cor
nutum, a parasitic fungus living on Secale cereale.
The above mentionated compounds are alpha-amino-butanoic acid, alpha -amino
-heptanoic acid and di-methyl-glicocole. Are discussed the involvement of t
he structures of these and acids for the polypeptidic structures in which t
hey can be included.
Are also discussed the questions of the election of amino acids for the inf
ormatic phenomenen of codification (genetic code problem). Are also discuss
ed the biochemical criterion which can be used to consider an amino acidic
structure to be typical or atipycal.
