Abstract
An atmospheric-pressure dielectric barrier discharge plasma is used for oil removal from iron surfaces, The first results show that oiled iron surface s cleaned in liquid solvent or by an atmospheric-pressure dielectric barrie r discharge plasma in oxygen provide the same X-ray photoelectron spectra t o high sensitivity, indicating an efficient oil-removal effect of the plasm a.
