Angular dependent magnetoresistance oscillation and Shubnikov-de Haas exper
iments have been done to investigate the Fermi surface for the new organic
conductor (BEDT-TTF)(2)Br(DIA), where the supramolecular...Br...DIA...chain
s are formed (DIA = Diiodoacetylene). Both results consistently show the pr
esence of a two-dimensional (2D) Fermi surface (FS), whose cross sectional
area corresponds to about 50% of the first Brillouin zone. Small 2D FSs are
also found, which are not explained by the band calculation.
