We report the photoluminescence (PL) properties of a new class of highly re
gioregular methoxy substituted polythiophenes which display good electrolum
inescence properties. The thermal dependence of the photoluminescence is st
udied in detail and compared to the differential scanning calorimetry analy
sis of polymers with different alkyl-side chain length. The thermochromism
of the PL is discussed in term of the different strucural properties of the
polymers.
