Abstract
PVK, modified by substituting iodine in positions 3 and 6, was the subject of study. It was performed to determine PVK's electroluminescence character istics as well as the photoelectronic features and to analyse the possibili ty of using PVK in the LED structures. Halogens as electronegative atoms st rongly influence the electron structure of a carbazole group modifying its UV spectrum, photoluminescence properties and the electroluminescence. Inve stigations, using such polymers as PVK, P3JVK and P3,6JVK, have been carrie d out.
