Abstract
Reversible gas sensors using an octaaniline and tetraaniline for detection of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in the atmosphere readily detect tolue ne vapor admired with air down to similar to 35ppm by measuring resistance changes with a simple, inexpensive ohmmeter. They exhibit excellent sensiti vity, reversibility, environmental stability and have little response to wa ter vapor, a common source of interference.
