Abstract
A polyrotaxane containing a conjugated backbone has been synthesized via;a
copper(I) template and electropolymerisation The reversibility of Cu(I) bin
ding is perfect only when lithium is present during copper removal, acting
as labile scaffolding. The ability of our structure for other transition me
tal ion sensing has also been tested Potential shifts seem to indicate inte
ractions between redox active copper centers and the conjugated backbone ar
e under study.
