Bis(3,4-furyldimethylthio)tetrathiafulvalene bis(but-2-ene-1,4-dithio)tetra
thiafulvalene and bis(2,3-dimethylbut-2-ene-1,4-dithio)tetrathiafulvalene a
re synthesized from two seperate routes. Electrochemical properties are com
pared. It was shown that the nature of the substituent eight membered heter
ocycle does not affect the redox properties of the donors.
