H. Ohnuki et al., Preparation of a new conducting Langmuir-Blodgett films based on oxygen substituted TTF derivative, SYNTH METAL, 102(1-3), 1999, pp. 1699-1700
A new conducting Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) film is fabricated from bis-ethylen
edioxy-diselenadithiafulvalene (BEDO-STF) and behenic acid. Physical proper
ties of the present LB films are investigated by the measurements of surfac
e pressure - area isotherms, X-ray diffraction, FT-IR, and room temperature
conductivity. These results are compared with those of BEDO-STF and beheni
c acid LB films. The layered structure for both LB films are very similar t
o each other. The similarity is suspected to be brought about by the strong
interaction between these oxygen substituted TTF donors and RCOO- part of
behenic acid. On the other hand, significant differences in infrared proper
ty and room temperature conductivity are observed. The in-plane structure i
n a microscopic range may cause the differences.
