Abstract
Poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophens-3'-octylthiopene-3' ', ',4' '-ethylenedioxy thiophene) is a new small band gap conducting polymer in which solubility o f P3ATs and high electronic properties of PEDOT are associated. Visible-NIR -MIR absorption properties of the FeCl3 doped polymer are characteristic of delocalized systems in presence of a secondary doping. Finally, infrared r eflectance spectra of polythiophene derivatives films are described, showin g for the first time that quasi metallic infrared reflectances can be reach ed on polythiophene derivatives.
