Abstract
A series of new mono- and polycyclic vinylene copolymers was synthesised vi
a a polycondensation using the Horner methodology. The polymers related to
PPV contain a mixture of phenyl substitution patterns. For the polycyclic c
opolymers, naphthalene units were incorporated into the backbone. The chemi
cal and optical properties are presented and briefly discussed.
