Abstract
Dehydrochlorination of stereoregurally chlorinated polyacetylene film was c arried out by chemical and electrochemical methods. IR spectra showed that the chlorinated polyacetylene was almost converted to a carbynoid material characterized by IR spectra, while presence of conjugated polyene moiety in the product was confirmed by resonance Raman spectra, suggesting the produ ct being a pi-conjugated polymer with carbyne and polyene structures. Effec t of the orientation of polymer main chain by an uniaxial stretching is inv estigated by XRD and SEM, but alignment of carbynoid chains in the product could not be confirmed.
