Abstract
We have investigated the class of disubstituted polyacatylene (PDPA) such a s pristine and doped with C-60, using both transient and steady state spect roscopies. These polymers show high yield photoluminescence which causes sp ectral narrowing at high excitation intensities, despite of their ground st ate degeneracy. In PDPA-nBu/C-60 mixture we found photoinduced charge trans fer from the degenerate ground state polymer chains to the C-60 molecules.
