Abstract
Effects of interchain coupling on quantum lattice fluctuations are consider ed for two neighboring polymer chains. Within a one-loop approximation, we found that the quantum fluctuations are partly suppressed by the interchain coupling and then the system is dimerized for an arbitrary coupling consta nt and phonon frequency even for the spinless Fermion system.
