Abstract
In order to harvest light efficiency and optimize charge transport in an or ganic photovoltaic (PV) cell, the dye molecules must be oriented properly o n the substrate. We investigate the influence of the molecular orientation of octithiophenes (8T) on their PV properties. We elaborate Schottky cells based on 8T film in which the molecules are lying or with an isotropy orien tation. Photovoltaic characteristics have been studied with a polarized inc ident light, and show a strong dependence of this light polarisation for or iented molecules.
