Abstract
Polyparaphenylene oligomers and the corresponding polymer PPP were studied
by Raman scattering from various sample morphologies. powder, thin film, si
ngle crystal and single molecule. The Raman intensities of the 1220, 1280 a
nd 1600 cm(-1) modes are compared with the molecule length and with the exc
itation wavelength.
