Effect of aging on the conductivity of polyaniline doped with phosphoric ac
id diesters, and its blends with nonconductive polymers is the subject of t
his study. Conductivity of polyaniline doped with bis(2-ethylhexyl) phospha
te increases about one order of magnitude during first year of aging in amb
ient conditions, and then decreases one to two orders of magnitude after si
x years. Similarly, increase of conductivity upon two-year aging is observe
d in cellulose acetate blends containing polyaniline doped with phenylphosp
honic acid. Six-year aged poly(methyl methacrylate) blends with bis(2-ethyl
hexyl) phosphate doped polyaniline were also investigated.
