Abstract
This note presents the development of the studies on past atmospheric CO2 v ariation based on ice-core analyses. Its aim is also to give the main refer ences of these studies from the time of the discovery of the glacial-interg lacial CO2 change in 1980 to the time of the Vth International CO2 Conferen ce of Cairns in 1997.
