Abstract
Three novel tetraketones (methyl, adamantyl and tert-butyl) and the first t etraamide (diethylamide) derived from p-tert-butyldihomooxacalix[4]arene we re obtained and their conformations established by NMR studies. Tetramethyl ketone was isolated in two different conformations, partial cones A and B, respectively, and the other derivatives were all obtained in the cone confo rmation The conformational behaviour of the tetramethylketone conformers wa s studied by means of temperature dependent H-1-NMR.
