Abstract
Bases catalyse the addition of primary alcohols on dicyano oxiranes to affo rd stable imidates. Depending on the catalyst it is possible to obtain eith er a mixture of Z and E monoimidates 5 in 3 to 1 ratio (NEt3) or the E imid ate in 95% (BrNBu4), or the bisimidates 6 (NaOMe).
