Abstract
Bisacetonitriledichloropalladium(II) is found to cyclise ortho-alkenylbenzy l alcohols rapidly to the corresponding isochromenes. The reaction also pro ceeds rapidly for a 2-allyl-3-hydroxyalkyl-1,4-naphthoquinon when the produ ct is a benzoisochromenequinone. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
