Abstract
Optically active C-2-symmetrical 1,1'-disubstituted ferrocenyl amino alcoho ls have been used as chiral catalysts in the asymmetric addition of diethyl zinc to benzaldehyde. 1-Phenylpropanol has been obtained in up to 83% enant iomeric excess.
