The bicyclic sulfamidite (C17H17NO2S) (P2(1)2(1)2(1), a = 9.735(3) Angstrom
, b = 16.27(1)Angstrom, c = 9.467(6) Angstrom, Z = 4, R = 0.037), shows a R
configuration of the S atom, deduced from the known absolute S configurati
on of the asymmetric carbon in the starting prolinol derivative. This is al
so deduced from proton H-1 NMR. The molecules form intramolecular C-H...O b
onds.
