Abstract
The title compound, [CuZnI2(C17H16N2O2)], is a doubly oxygen-bridged hetero -dinuclear complex, with the Cu-II ion in a distorted square-planar environ ment involving two O and two N atoms from the bis(salicylidene)1,3-propaned iaminate (SALPD(2-)) ligand. The Cu ... Zn distance is 3.0933 (7) Angstrom( .) The coordination sphere around the Zn centre is a distorted tetrahedron comprising two bridging O atoms and two terminal iodides.
