In the title molecule, C14H13IO3, the coumarin ring system is planar and th e fused cyclohexane ring adopts a half-chair conformation. The planes of th e coumarin and cyclohexane rings form a dihedral angle of 8.5 (1)degrees. I n the crystal, the hydroxyl group and the carbonyl O atom are involved in a n O-H ... O intermolecular hydrogen bond. The molecules are stacked at a pe rpendicular distance of 3.588 (8) Angstrom along the n axis.
