Abstract
In this paper, using KLM model with internal losses, the effects of piezoel ectric film on the input power loss and pulse-echo response of transducer w ere analysed. Two kinds of ultrasonic transducers were designed and fabrica ted. One is a spherically focused ultrasonic transducer composed of PVDF fi lm. Another is a complex ultrasonic transducer with PZT/PVDF multi-layer st ructure. The theoretical and experimental results show that these two kinds of transducers have their own advantages in medical diagnoses.
