Abstract
A morphological and anatomical study of fruits of 24 taxa of Linaria Miller from south-west Spain has been made. Following examination of these specie s, by scanning electron and light microscopy, five morphological types are established relating to hair types, symmetry and dehiscence of capsules. A key to the different species or groups of species is provided. Finally, deh iscence mechanisms are discussed briefly. (C) 1999 Annals of Botany Company .
